Gordie’s Review (3.5 years old) – “what was the best part?” “Climbing around”
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Features: Two large playground sections, 1st interconnected climbing system, with additional rope and web climbers, standing spinner, 2 more traditional climber with slides, bridges, geared towards a little bit younger kids. 3 tire swings, large merry-go-round spinner, caterpillar monkey bars..
Surrounding Park Area: typical school yard, they also have a natural area to the west of the playground.
Seating: there’s a few benches
Overall Assessment: Gordie and I both loved this playground – it was one of my favourites this summer. There was a lot of features, that I hadn’t seen before, like some of the rope climbers, and the climber with purple and green pieces in the picture below. This playground would be great for kids who find they are not challenged by traditional playgrounds – that will definitely not be the case here. This may not be a great playground for younger kids though. Gordie is quite proficient on playgrounds and I’m usually pretty laid back but he managed to make me nervous a couple times like when he followed me up the climber in one of the pictures below.
Have you been to this playground? What did you think?
