Surrounding Park Area: school, athletic fields
Shade: the climber provides some shade in and around the play area
Seating: several benches and a few picnic tables.
Accessibility: Entire playground has accessible flooring. There is also a ramp up to the first level – the platform has enough room to turn around in a wheelchair and activity panels that you can be accessed. Kids who can transfer may also enjoy the saucer swings and merry-go-round spinner. For kids to benefit from vestibular stimulation, there are a number of things that swing or spin.
Overall Assessment: This is a really great school playground. It would be accessible and challenging to all students. It’s large with a lot of variety. Younger kids will also enjoy many of the playground’s features but should probably be more closely monitored – the playground is designed for school-aged kids only and so younger kids may find themselves out of their depth quickly.
