The first weekend of Day Out With Thomas was a little snowier than usual this year. But there was still a lot of fun to be had. For a look at what you are more likely to expect you can check out my review from last year.
When you purchase tickets, you get a ride on the train ‘pulled’ by Thomas. Your tickets have a specific time and you’ll go 3 times around the track. If you don’t want to ride on the train you can purchase admission at a reduced rate. If you are thinking of going I suggest buying your tickets well in advance, especially if you are hoping for a mid-day ride. Tickets have been known to sell out and walk-up tickets are very limited.
There are also wagon rides, tattoos, stories, wooden mazes and photo ops with Thomas and Sir Topham Hat. Some of the rides suitable for young kids are also running, like the swing boats, carousel and small ferris wheel.
We also got a sneak peak at Heritage Park’s new train themed playground.
Has your family been to day out with Thomas? What did you think?
