Flint Park Playground

Location    map
Community:
Fairview – Fairmount Drive and the alley behind Fairview Dr SE
Parking: Unfortunately there is no good parking for this playground. There is an alley that runs along the park, however, it is not set up for visitor parking. You can probably find some parking a short walk away in the neighborhood.

Overall assessment: This playground has a lot to offer, but what really puts it over the top is not only does it have a train climber, but you can see the freight train line from the playground as well. There’s also a great little path for kids to ride bikes and trikes on.

  1. We love this park and visit it quite often. While people have been parking along the alley, the Community Association is discouraging park patrons from doing that as home owners are having trouble access their garages/parking spaces along the alley as a result. Just some neighbourhood stewardship to keep in mind.

    • That’s good to know. I’m always a little disappointed when nice parks don’t have good access for visitors. It’s a lovely park though.

  2. We were looking for this park today and came across another one nearby at Ecole de la Source. Actually, there were two! They were both fantastic, with one of them being a bit more appropriate for younger kids (my toddler is 20 months and he could manage quite well). We’ll have to make it to this on next time!
