Overall Assessment:

Fun N More features a huge climbing structure designed for kids 5-15. Part of the climber is on a balcony, which makes it the tallest climber I know of in Calgary. My daughter, who is 4, got stuck and needed help getting down. There are two slides in the upper half of the climber, and she loved those. Most parts of this climber are big enough for an adult to navigate if necessary.

There is also a separate toddler climber for kids under 5. This includes a small (but fast) slide, a zipline, and some large balls and punching bags. My daughter loved this area. My husband and I were both able to fit in this climber as well, but kids who are 3 and up should have no problem navigating it.

The baby area is fairly small. It includes a large plastic tree that kids can climb in, and a very small baby slide. There are also many baby toys, but most of them were broken or missing parts (eg: basketball net with no ball). My son found this frustrating.

There is also a black light room. In this room, you hit a button to start a timer, and try to hit as many buttons as you can inside the room. My kids really like this.

You should probably plan on paying for some of these extras, because they are in full view, and kids obviously want to play with them because they look fun. I always factor in this additional cost when we visit.

For an additional cost you can also play black light mini-golf and mini-bowling.

If you only have a baby, the baby area is probably not worth a visit. However, the climber at Fun n More is good for older kids because of its size. I also really like that there is a separate toddler climber, which is also a decent size.

It was big enough to entertain my 4-year-old for about half our visit (she spent the other half in the big climber). I don’t like all the coin-operated games because it’s hard to control your spending, but the kids got a kick out of the carousel.

  1. As good as the toddler play area was, our son didn’t stay there at all because the video games were spread all around and were very distracting. I would suggest putting them all on one side of the room at the very least. Looks like a great place for older kids, and mini golf was fun.

  2. Fun and more is the worst indoor playground in Calgary. The bowling machines messed up 3 times while playing….while playing mini golf there are unsupervised kids running around the course… The play structure is small and old… When complained to the young guy at the front he actually said well whatever… Maybe they should get some older people running it maybe that would make a difference its pretty sad when the kid is happy to leave there.
