Overall Assessment:

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground is on the smaller side of the play places in Calgary right now. It’s also one of the newest. We stopped by on a Monday morning to check it out. It was pretty quiet when we first got there but was getting a bit busier later in the morning.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

Multi-level climber

The main feature is a multi-level climber.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

It’s not quite as big as some of the climbers around, but it’s easier to keep track of your kids and it still has some fun features.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

My youngest particularly enjoyed the ball pit area. And was able to explore around the climber without too many issues.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

I was able to get around the climber reasonably comfortably which is nice if you have to go in.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

It was a great set up for my daughter (5) and my oldest at 8 enjoyed it, but more so when he found a friend to play with.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

I would think that eight would probably be on the upper range of who this play area is best for. Kids who are on this upper range would probably be more likely to enjoy it, if you were meeting up with friends, spending extra money on the arcade games or were there while the ninja training was open.

Toddler Room

The toddler area is on the opposite side from the large climber. This will make it less likely for bigger kids to be venturing inside but a bit harder to keep track of a toddler and an older child at the same time.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

The area is bright and colourful with a small ball pit, double slide, large foam blocks and other features. Some toddler areas seem to be an afterthought, but I think this one is pretty nice.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

My littlest (2.5) particularly enjoyed the little ‘rollercoster’ track.

Dinosaur Bouncy House

This large dinosaur bouncer is tucked in behind the arcade.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

It has some different features including a slide and a tube slide.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

Ninja Training

We didn’t get to see the Ninja Training area in operation as it wasn’t open while we were there.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

If you want to see it you should make a point of checking the hours before you go as they are quite limited. It seemed to be included with the general admission.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

Arcade

The arcade is nice and bright with lots of redemption game options.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

The Food

The eating and seating area is located in the middle of the play centre.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

We ended up staying for lunch and tried their BLTs and chicken nuggets.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

I wouldn’t make a point of eating there but the prices aren’t bad and the food was okay.

Krazy Monkey Indoor Playground

My kids had a great time and all wanted to come back.

  1. Before you go, double-check their events page on their website. They occasionally allow private booking and do post any modified hours on the ‘events’ section of their website.
