Ground Cover: pea gravel.
Features: Preschool climbing structure with tunnel and slides; School-aged climber with walk along teeter-totter, 2 standing spinners, ‘telephone’; 4 person standing overhead spinner, 8 swings (4 baby).
Surrounding Park Area: There is a slough pond with a pathway. Next to the playground there are basketball hoops and a covered picnic area.
Shade: A little from the playground itself. There is also a sheltered picnic area.
Accessibility: None.
Seating: a few benches and picnic tables under a shade.
Overall assessment: One of the best playgrounds in North Calgary. I sometimes find that my kids will lose interest in the preschool climbers but they spent a lot of time on this one.
Gordie also loved the ‘telephone’ that actually worked and walking from step to step by the school-aged climber. This playground would be great for kids of a wide variety of ages.
We live in this community and this playground is known as ‘Spider Web Park’ to those who live here! My kids aged, 10, 7, and 4, can stay and play for a long time this park-we love it!
