Gordie’s Review (3 years old) “What did you like about that park?” “The Ramps!”

Age Range: 0-8 years.
Ground Cover: Pour in place recycled tire
Shade: Some shade from the play structure itself as well as some mature trees in the surrounding park area

Features: .Large interconnected play structure with ramps, twisty slide, 1 person spinner, mountain climber, standing spinner, green bouncer, saucer swing.
Surrounding Park Area: Gazebo, green space

Accessibility: This playground has great accessibility. It would be perfect for someone using a wheelchair or just unsteady on their feet. The ramps systems and accessible flooring make it possible to be right amongst the play. There are also a number of things that spin, bounce or swing for kids who benefit from vestibular stimulation.
Seating: A couple benches beside the play area and more seating in the wider park area.

Overall assessment
: We visited this playground (newly built last year) on a weekday morning. There was only a couple kids there when we first got there, but a before and after school program arrived to play later in the morning. Gordie loved running along the ramps and swinging on the saucer swing.

I really liked that there were a couple of benches and a grassy area under a tree that was all shaded making it easy to keep baby Nicole cool in the shade while still monitoring Gordie on the climber. This would be an excellent playground for kids just starting to walk or anyone unsteady on their feet.
