Overall Assessment:

We went to Treehouse on a Saturday evening after supper. I had no idea how busy it would be! It was so busy when we got there that we almost turned around to try another day.

In the end I was really glad was stayed. Treehouse handled the crowd much better I had expected and we had a great time. When it is really busy it can be difficult to get a seat despite there being a lot of tables. The staff was friendly yet willing to remind kids of the rules if necessary and I saw them cleaning and tidying throughout our visit.

Giant Climber

The climber is huge and sprawls across the main half of the play space. It is hard to photograph, but there is definitely a lot of space to run around.

One of the things I really liked is that there was a really straightforward way to get to the stop of the tall quadruple slides. This is great if you have a little one who is a bit too little for the climber – it’s easy for you to watch them go by themselves or to go with them.

There is also a boat that kids can climb into.

Bouncy House

Backyard Blaster

This was something I hadn’t seen before. While wearing goggle, kids can shoot light balls across at the other ‘team’ using air guns. This looked pretty fun although it did sometimes devolve into kids just throwing balls at each other.

Toy Room

On the other side of the space are two rooms aimed at younger kids. The Toy Room has duplo, a train table, and a magnet run table, a play kitchen and a little reading area.

Nicky actually really enjoyed reading the books for a while when she was finding everything else a little overwhelming.

Toddler Room

The toddler room is for even younger kids with a small ball pit, a small slide, a play kitchen, bouncers, foam blocks and other toddler toys.

Cafe

The Cafe is at the front beside where you redeem your tickets from the arcade. They offer ready to eat snacks and sandwiches as well as hot items like hot dogs and pizza.

In the center of the space is quite a bit of table seating.

One of the best things about Treehouse is the wide variety of activities. There is a lot going on though so some kids may find it a bit overwhelming. If you have younger kids and are looking to have coffee with a friend, this may not be your best bet.

Otherwise though, Treehouse is an excellent indoor play place. School aged kids have lots of options and only the arcade is an additional cost. The areas for younger kids are set away from the main play area and provide a quieter play space.

We had a great time at Treehouse and Gordie keeps asking when we’ll be going back.
