Gordie’s Review (2 years old): Liked the swings!
Age Range: 2-12 years
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Features: toddler climber with double slide, climbing wall, double steering wheels; school-aged climber with slide, rock wall, climbing wall, spinner; large musical centre; two seater bouncer; pretend play panels; fire truck, wobbly balance beam; tall spinner; two sit and spins; two seater T-Rex bouncer; 4 swings (2 baby).
Surrounding Park Area: There is a grassy area with trees to the north of the playground. A bike path runs through it.
Shade: Nice mature trees
Seating: 3 benches, 2 picnic tables
Accessibility: There is no access inside the play area, and you have to take a short walk across the grass to get to the perimeter of the playground
Overall assessment: This playground is really a hidden gem. Tucked at the back of the neighborhood on a quiet street it’s not a playground that too many people are going to drive by.
Really, the only thing they could do to improve it would be to have accessible flooring. It’s too bad they didn’t because the musical array would be perfect for an accessible playground. There is a ton of things for little kids and big kids to play with and a number of playground features like the climbing panel with the circles that I haven’t seen anywhere else.
Gordie loved running around and trying out all the different features but he was most interested in swinging beside the older boy who was at the park too.
Thanks for the review! We used to drive near this playground all the time without knowing that it was there. My 1.5 year old and her little friend love this playground!
