Gordie’s Review (3.5 years old) – “what did you think of this playground?” “It was a big playground. I couldn’t climb it”

Age Range:5-12
Ground Cover: pea gravel

Features: Challenging climber, saddle slide, 2 motorcycle bouncers, 2 swings (1 baby), spinner, teeter-totter.
Shade: little to none. Young trees have been planted.

Seating: a couple of picnic tables and benches.
Accessibility: There is a pathway up to the playground but there is not accessibility within the play area.

Overall Assessment: The equipment at this playground is really different from most in Calgary. It would be pretty challenging for most kids under 5, but this playground does have a some other equipment that younger kids will enjoy.

Gordie tried to climb around but had a lot of difficulty. He attempted to go down the slide, but decided against it. I tried it though and it was pretty fun but a little scary! Older kids, on the other hand, will love testing their skills on this playground.

This park is about a 10 minute walk from my house. I hope your visit there was more welcoming then mine! A woman and a child from one of the houses across the street from the park came to the park to play, after awhile we got to chatting and she said when she moved there she said she though the park was going to be for the houses around the park only and not for everyone to use!! Then she asked if I lived around there. I was shocked!
Oh that’s unfortunate, sorry that happened to you. It’s pretty close to my place as well. I play on it occasionally, and have never had an experience like that before. I hope the next time you visit, you’ll have a better experience.
I would like to know how a city park is only for those around it that is crazy .why grown ups act like its only for there kids a child is a child a park is a park regardless where you live its called a city park not o ly for those living around it .It’s not like its a gated community so anyone can go and play maybe signs around will remind that this park is for anyone that wants to play . I would like to know about another the tararidge close park in the n.r will this park get an up grade for the neighbor hood this park is old and boring for kids one baby swing and one older kid swing do only one older child can swing they do try to get in the baby swing .It is boring with just a slide alot of waiting when kids come to use swings or slide Spartacus this needs some reno to make it fun for kids. Older kids wrap the swing up high on the top bar so small kids that are there can’t swing .I carry a long handle pole with a hook to try and get the swing down for some children its really a sad looking park one picnic table for parents to sit at .But what if you wanted to have a picnic there are so many looking and staring that you took the picnic table 🤔 we have alot of nationalities in this neighborhood that want kids to play but with ? Please come to this neighborhood 🙏 and see if the park can be a fun place for the future generations to enjoy this park .
Some spelling mistakes sorry the word only should be in the above comment The word its obvious that this park needs a reno . Should have been written.
