With three young kids ranging in age from 1 to 6 years old, it can be easy to get stuck in a fast food chain rut. Now and then I’m going to encourage my kids to be food adventurers and try some place new.

Blaze Pizza is a new restaurant located in Calgary’s NE near Sunridge Mall (over by the Chuck E Cheese).
The pizzas have a thin crust which allows them to cook quickly. They are practically finished by the time you finish paying which is awesome when you have hungry kids with you.
They have several signature pizzas that you can order so you can build your own as you go through the line.
Gluten-free crust and vegan cheese are both available. I didn’t see the vegan cheese at first, but it’s over by the veggies instead of with the other kinds of cheese.
The pizzas are all one price aside from the lower priced Simple Pie and One topping pizza. The one topping pizza would be a great option if you have two kids who need more than half a pizza and want to keep the cost down.
We’ve gone twice now, once with just our youngest and once with all 3 kids. I really love how quickly we were able to start eating. One of the worst parts of going to a restaurant with kids is the waiting. You can also pre-order online. You just check-in at the front and your pizzas go right into the oven.
My big kids (almost 4 and almost 7 were just able to split a pepperoni pizza between them.
We also tried their dessert a s’more pie which is really a cookie. It was really good.
We really enjoyed Blaze Pizza and will definitely be back. My kids were thrilled and it barely took more time than getting fast food.
We stumbled upon it and went recently. With threel kids (8,5 and 2) and they all enjoyed it. We went back on Pi day for $3.14 pizza. There was a very long line obviously but the kids were so excited to each get their own pizza in a box!
