Parking: Half of the lot is a park-in-ride during certain hours. There is additional parking at the back but it doesn’t have convenient rink access.
Nearby Amenities: playground right outside the front of the building. baseball diamonds. Tim Hortons, A&W and Boston Pizza just across Beddington Blvd to the north.
Also at this location: Curling rink (with lounge), basketball gymnasiums, North Central community resource centre, Preschool, meeting rooms
Concession: The rink lobby has a few picnic tables, vending machines and a concession. The concession is full service with snacks, drinks, as well as burgers, fries, chicken fingers and poutine.
Rink:
Seating: Three sets of tiered wooden benches.
Heaters: There are no obvious heaters for the stands. It is not AS cold as you would expect considering.
Dressing rooms: The dressing rooms are a reasonable size. Dressing room 5 (flex room) is located by the elevator.
Good to know: The rink is located on the second level but you do not have to drag your hockey bag up the steps. There is a door to the elevator on the left side. [note this elevator has been out of service for 2023/2024]
Music: Music is via bluetooth. You will need to get the rink attendant to open access panel (behind the scorekeeper) to connect to the bluetooth but it will reach across the rink once connected.
Drop-in rink activities: public skating, sticks, pucks and rings and public skate. Huntington Hills also offers a weekly shinny program for kids 7-12 not in registered hockey programs.
