Gordie’s Review (15 months old) – Great stairs for climbing, disappointed in the lack of baby swings, slides were kind of high.
Age Range: Recommended 5 – 12
Ground Cover: Pea Gravel
Features: 1 large playstructure with 3 slides; 4 swings (non-infant)
Surrounding Park Area: Large grassy area with hills, a basketball court and outdoor arena
Shade: Little to none
Seating: 1 bench
Accessibility: None.
Overall assessment: Not a bad little park for school aged children but not worth driving too far. Small children with older siblings could be amused at the playground as well but would need close supervision.
I can vouch that the area surrounding this playground is fantastic in the winter. Adjacent to the playground is a basketball court that is flooded over to make a family skating rink, as well as there is a permanent rink next to that (ball and ice hockey year round).
There are numerous hills for tobagganing, one directly south in the public school that is extremely large.
