Children’s Review – “what was the best part?”
Kolbie (age 5) “The spinny rocket ship!”
Logan (age 4) “The red cement mixers!”
Rylie (age 3) “The swings!”
Age Range:Most of the playground seems geared for ages 5-12. There are some features for younger children (1 baby swing, corner with the steering wheel and “store”), but unless your pre-schoolers are confident climbers they may find much of the equipment inaccessible.
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Features: Large merry-go-round climber, variety of climbing walls, 2 large boulders with ropes to navigate in between, variety of spinning options.
Surrounding Park Area: There is a large field on one side of the park, and a baseball diamond on the other.
Shade: There are mature trees on 2 sides of the park
Seating: benches and 2 picnic tables
Accessibility: None.
Overall Assessment: Overall assessment: The kids really like this playground! If you have pre-schoolers you may find this park requires a great deal of parental assistance, though.
They keep me pretty busy pushing them on the swings, spinning the merry-go-round, and coaching them on the climbing structures. If you’re looking for a park with plenty of climbing challenges and spinning options, check it out!
