Calgary has a brand new bike park in South Glenmore Park!
The bike park is a pump track set up. The track is set up in an asphalt circuit. Instead of peddling, the hills create an ‘up and down’ pumping motion. This lets you work on basic skills of carrying momentum, balance and speed to get your bike around the track.
Location: South Glenmore Park – 8415 24 St SW
at the west end adjacent to 90 Avenue SW.
Cost: Free
Equipment needed: Bicyle
Ages: all ages that can ride. The same track can be used differently by different ability levels.
The pump track was funded by Parks Foundation Calgary, the Government of Alberta, Calgary Foundation, City of Calgary and Mountain Equipment Co-op. Additionally, it was created in partnership with the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance.
