Gordie’s Review (4 years old: ”I liked trying to do the monkey bars”
Nicky’s Review (17 months): “slide!” [She liked going up and down the bumpy side]
Age Range: 2.5 years – 10 years.
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Features: Preschool climber with slide; school age climber with 2 slides; 2 swings (1 baby); musical array; seat spinner.
Surrounding Park Area: Grassy area to the East of the playground. As an added bonus you can see the trains go over the bridge in the distance from this park.
Shade: good shade from nearby mature trees
Seating: a couple of benches
Accessibility: None.
Overall Assessment: This is a nice little community playground. It is one of three new playgrounds in the Ogden area (the other two are in Lynnwood Ridge Park and in George Moss Park).
My favorite thing about this playground is that you can see the train line in the distance.
Younger kids may have some difficulty as the preschool climber doesn’t have stairs or a ramp so it is a bit more challenging to get up than most.
