Features: huge interconnected climber with 3 slides; large web climber; 2 seat climbers; tall globe spinner; merry-go-round spinner.
Surrounding Park Area: next to Marlborough Elementary School – soccer fields.
Shade: Very limited.
Accessibility: None.
Seating: There are a few benches on the perimeter
Overall assessment: The setting for this playground is nothing exceptional. It definitely suffers from ‘school playground syndrome’. There is no shade to speak of and it is right next to the asphalt and the school itself.
The playground on the other hand is amazing. There is so much packed into the playground – its all interconnected with lots of different climbing features.
The playground is definitely aimed at school-aged kids. Gordie had a hard time at first finding things he could do independently. Eventually though he did find a couple of routes that he could manage and loved the challenge.
