Gordie’s Review (2 years old)– The tractor!
Cost: Free
Age Range: children must be under 48” tall to play
Footwear: socks. Socks can be purchased at a booth nearby if you forget.
Safety Features/Concerns: There is not great sightlines from most of the chairs and the doorway is wide and unblocked.
Play Area Features: Toddler area with small slide, panels and foam blocks; large 2 level climber with rope bridges, steps, twisty slide, bumpers
Seating: There are some chairs inside the entrance to the play area.
Overall Assessment: I had heard that the new Calgary Farmers’ Market location had a play area, but didn’t expect it to be anything like this. Rather than the collection of panels I had thought it would be, it is like a smaller version of an indoor play centre.
Gordie had a great time. His favorite thing was climbing into the tractor on the 2nd level and peeking down at me. We went on a Thursday and even then it was fairly busy.
I’d recommend trying to eat before noon if you are there for lunch as it is a very popular location with the employees from the local businesses.
This is definitely a great place to take the kids if you are wanting to go to a farmer’s market or want to go to a food court with some choices that are different from the usual.
My son will love this one.
Would be effective if someone expanded the western theme. Like a train circle, each car a little different. Ball pit, Animal room etc. Connect them all with tubes. So you can run on the roof of the train or play on the inside. Imagine the boys fighting to be conductor. Make a girls only car. Darn, I wish I could start a small busy-iness like that.
Thanks for continuing to post.
My kids loved parker Paul’s tractor!

Couldn’t get the kids off of the big slide! Takes me back to my childhood when we used to play at Mayflower mall in North Sydney.
Had a couple links of Chris brothers pepperoni while the wife and the little Snarfers had a time!
B’ye Jeysus what a day
