Family Friendly Calgary Christmas Markets – 2019
There are so many craft fairs and Christmas markets in and around Calgary these days.
The list below is a short selection of family friendly Calgary Christmas markets that offer a little more than just shopping making the experience a little more enjoyable if you want to go as a family.

Admission: $6 per person, 17 and under are free
Activities and features: Photos with Santa, Santa’s workshop, reindeer photos, kids only shopping area, lights, food, hay rides, roasted chestnuts, forging demonstrations, carollers, music and crafts, food vendors
Market: Handmade Christmas decor, woodworking, jewellery, paintings, stained glass, pottery, quilting, knitting, sewing, photographs, calendars and books.

Address: Two locations (1) Foothills Centennial Centre, 204 Community Way and (2) Elks Hall 58 Elizabeth Street – Okotoks Alberta
Admission: $5 per person, 12 and under are free
Activities and features: Santa photos, kids crafts, DIY crafts.
Market: Handmade jewellery, wooden decor, soft knits, leather crafts, children’s toys, baked goods, glass ornaments, candles, home made soaps, stunning photo crafts, and unique imports.

Admission: $7.50 per person. Kids 12 and under are free.
Activities and Features: photos with Santa, sleigh ride, live entertainment, food, fire lounge, build your own hot chocolate
Market: Unique fashions and handcrafted gifts – 60 vendors
Calgary Christmas Market – Calgary Farmer’s Market
Date: November 14th – December 23rd: Thurs-Sun- 9am – 5pm
Address: Near Heritage Drive and Blackfoot Trail – 510-77th Ave SE.
Admission: Free admission and free parking
Activities and Features: visit Santa and his Reindeer with cookie decorating, Tea with Mrs. Claus, Grinchmas, and more!
Market: 16 seasonal vendors in addition to regular Calgary Farmer’s Market vendors
Once Upon a Christmas – Heritage Park
Date: Saturdays & Sundays Nov 23-Dec 22, 2019
Address: Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Dr SW
Admission: Free to the shops in the front square.
Admission rates for the historical village areas inside the park:
Child (3 – 6) $5.70, Youth (7 – 15) $7.00, General (16 – 64), $11.00, Senior (65+) $8.85.
Activities and features: Santa visit, handbell choir performances, Christmas train display, holiday play in Canmore Opera House, Children’s crafts, Gingerbread cookie decorating, wagon rides (weather dependent), Christmas carols, Vintage photo parlour, Snow Painting (weather dependent),
Market: Not really a market, but the shops in the front square as well as inside the historical village provide unique holiday treasures. Kids only store for kids to shop for their family.
Kids Christmas Craft Fair – Lake Bonavista
Date: Dec 7, 2019

Activities and features: ‘Kids only’ shopping
Market: Kids can purchases gifts for the families. All items will be $10 or less and gifts will be wrapped after purchase to keep the surprise!
Date: Dec 6-8, Dec 13-15, & 20-22, 2019

Admission: $6 admission for the weekend, kids 12 and under are free.
Activities and features: live music, interactive workshops and food vendors
Market: 150 different local vendors
