Surrounding park area: Large park area, with pathways and fields, ball diamond. Walking distance to Samuel W Shaw School Playground and Shawnessy outdoor rink.
Accessibility: There is accessible flooring throughout the play area. However, there is not path to the playground so you have to navigate grass to get there. There is also a step to get up onto the ramp.
Shade: minimal.
Seating: a few benches.
Overall Assessment
This playground isn’t as accessible as it would seem at first glance. However, the playground would be great for kids who love a fairly traditional playground set up with climbing and overhead features but don’t like pea gravel. It is also is a great option if you like playground hopping as the Samuel W Shaw School playground is nearby.
