Features: large rope spinner. Two tandem swings (one accessible), musical flowers, play structure with ramps and slides, double zipline (one accessible, 4 seater bouncer with back supports, rope climber, ground level features.
Surrounding park area: This park is located next to Thorncliffe Greenview Community Centre which has many amenities. It is adjacent to a large park area down the hill which includes a toboggan hill, baseball diamond and disc golf course.
Accessibility: This playground has accessible flooring throughout the play area and the main play structure has a ramp system. There is an egg bouncer, 4 seater bouncer, tandem swing and zipline that can all be used by people who need extra back support. This playground uses, visual, auditory and tactile features. The rope spinner and saucer swing can also be used by people who need physical support.
Shade: There are some large mature trees near the playground
Seating: there are a few picnic tables and small benches near the playground and additional benches further back in the park.
Overall Assessment
A lot of care an effort has been put into this park ensure that this playground is inclusive and exciting for a wide variety of kids and their families.
This effort really paid off, resulting in this fantastic playground that kids of all ages and abilities will love.
