Overall assessment: Located at the edge of the Deerfoot valley, this playground is unique in Calgary. This is one of the first playgrounds in Western Canada to use the Xccent equipment (the sprawling interconnected climber in the centre of the playground). This can be used on the lower levels by younger kids – each node has climbing features that will challenge young kids. What it really excels at though is providing real challenges and group play opportunities for older children. This is not a playground that school-aged kids will find boring. The interconnectedness of the climber provides great opportunities for all kinds of games too.

In Addition,  equipment from a second playground company is also there, so the playground still has swings, a toddler climber and a number of things where you can bounce and spin.

If you are looking for a change of pace or a playground to challenge your bigger kids, this would definitely be worth the trip.
