Gordie’s Review (17 months old) – Merry-go-round climber was so fun!

Age Range:  Ages 3-10. This is definitely geared towards older children, but Gordie still had a great time.
Ground Cover: Pebble Gravel
Features: Large school age play structure with 3 slides; small spinner; large merry-go-round climber with rope base; large 4 seater bouncer; 4 swings (2 infant).

Surrounding Park Area: A bike path runs along the playground and over John Laurie into Highwood. There is a mostly flat grassy area to the south of the playground.
Shade: A large canopy provides shade in the play area and there is a large area underneath (about 6 feet tall) as well. There are also some mature trees outside the play area.

Seating: 2 benches.
Accessibility: Access to the play area but none inside the play area.

Overall Assessment:

This is a surprisingly large playground. Given its location, hidden away in a small community, I would have expected nothing more than your run of the mill tot lot. The play structure is quite tall and would be most suited to older children but Gordie still enjoyed climbing the stairs.

I didn’t think that Gordie would be old enough for the merry-go-round spinner but he absolutely loved being gently spun around and saying ‘bye bye’ to Mommy. We also had great fun sitting side by side on the bouncer.
