North Haven Community Association Playground

Locationmap Community: North Haven – 1184 Ninga Road NW.
Parking: Free Street Parking

Gordie’s Review (17 months): Yay! Wobbly bridge!

Age Range: Proficient walker to 8.
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Features: Medium sized play structure with a preschool slide, twisty slide and wobbly bridge; net and bar climbing structure; 4 swings(1 infant, 1 accessible) and a bus play structure.

Surrounding Park Area: Located in a ‘L’ shaped park at the opposite end from the community centre. Some nice hills and trees. Also has a baseball diamond and in the winter it has an outdoor skating rink.
Shade: Mature trees provide nice shade inside and outside the play area.

Seating: There are a couple of benches by the play area and a couple of picnic tables nearby.
Accessibility: The access is poor but there is an accessible swing

Overall Assessment: This playground could be a good stop for people travelling along McKnight as it turns into John Laurie (or vice versa). There is nothing particularly special about it, but it would be a good for a picnic lunch and play. It’s a decent sized playground with a few feature that make it fun like the wobbly bridge and the twisty slide but is not a destination playground.
