Butterfield Acres is a petting zoo so is one of the top spots if you want to get hands on with animals. You can go in and pet many farm animals such as bunnies, pigs, goats and more!

For the sheer quantity of animals, you can't beat the Calgary Zoo. You can easily spend all day if you explore the Canadian Wilds and the Zoo Island.

Granary Road's Active Learning Park has farm animals you can visit and goats that you can go right in and pet.

The Calgary Corn Maze has many animals including miniature ponies and donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs and more! Some of the animals are available for petting and the pigs even race!

Kayben Farms has farm animals on display but they are only occasionally available for petting.

It's easy to miss the farm animals at Heritage Park, but if you head over the barns you can find horses, pigs, chickens and more!

The Calgary Stampede is a 10 day long special event held in Calgary each July. Although the rodeo events require event tickets, you can find lots of animals on display and smaller events such as the heavy horse pull that you can see with regular admission.

You can see fish in the aquariums downstairs, feed fish at the fish hatchery and explore the wetlands outside.

You will be sure to spot birds at this nature park. You may even see deer!

Cobb's doesn't have as many animals as the other 'fun farms' but the currently have a kangaroo petting zoo.
