Community: 211 McKnight Blvd NE
Parking: free street parking, lot parking at the smaller playground by McKnight
Gordie’s Review (7 years old): What was your favorite thing? “the zipline”
Nicky’s Review (4 years old): “the thing where you swung and jumped off” [also the zip line]
Robbie’s Review (18 months old): Liked walking across the wobbly bridge
Surrounding Park Area: next to a school and large fields
Age Range: 3-12 years.
Ground Cover: pea gravel
Playground Features: climber with triple slide and wobbly bridge, small zipline, medium rope spinner
Shade: some shade from nearby trees. Probably better in the afternoon.
Seating: several picnic tables
Overall assessment: This playground is designed for middle schoolers making it a bit more challenging than most. Despite this, I didn’t find it stressful with my toddler as the climbing structures he can access aren’t too high off the ground.
It’s not that big but as my son said, “it doesn’t look at fun as it is actually”. My bigger kids adored the zipline (although they both needed help getting on) and thought the triple slide was great.
