Gordie’s Review (16 months old) – Loved all the levels under the gazebo.
Age Range: Probably best for ages 2-9.
Ground Cover: Pea gravel.
Features: Medium-sized preschool/primary grade school play structure with 2 slides; 4 swings (2 infant); Dream catcher climber; 2 hand sliding fox; mountain climber.
Surrounding Park Area: This playground is located within the Peacekeepers Park which is dedicated to Canadian Peacekeepers. On the north side there is a wall of honor and a bronze Peacekeeper statute. To the east is a nice flat grassy area.
Shade: The play area has shade from the gazebo and underneath the play structure. There are some mature trees that provide shade outside the play area and younger trees that will provide more shade as they grow.
Seating: 3 benches outside the play area.
Accessibility: Nice wide paths to the play area, but no access inside the play area.
Overall Assessment: This is a really nice little playground in a quiet neighborhood. Gordie loved going up and down all the levels under the gazebo and walking across the bridge.
The mountain climber was a little too challenging for him but it looks like a lot of fun. By itself this is not really a destination playground, however, being within the Peacekeepers Park allows for a unique learning opportunity.
