Airdrie is less than half an hour from Calgary making it an easy trip particularly from the North end of the City.
Things to do
1. Visit some of Airdrie’s Awesome Playgrounds

2. Iron Horse Park
Iron Horse Park has been operating in Airdrie for a few years now offering rides on miniature (1/8 scale) trains on Sundays during the warmer months. If you have a train fan in your family, a visit to Iron Horse Park is a must.

3. Chinook Winds Regional Park
This park has everything in one space – a spray park, a playground and a skatepark!

4. Check out one of Airdrie’s Indoor Playgrounds
Airdrie currently has an indoor playground Jumble District as well as the nearby Big Fun Play Centre.
5. Go for a Swim
The pool at the Genesis Centre is just as good as Calgary’s leisure centres and is usually less busy.
6. Airdrie Festival of Lights
In December, the Airdrie Festival of Lights is one of the best light displays in town. It is actually more than just a light display and features activities, train rides, skating and more.
