Things to do with kids in Airdrie

Airdrie is less than half an hour from Calgary making it an easy trip particularly from the North end of the City.

Things to do

1. Visit some of Airdrie’s Awesome Playgrounds

2. Iron Horse Park

Iron Horse Park has been operating in Airdrie for a few years now offering rides on miniature (1/8 scale) trains on Sundays during the warmer months. If you have a train fan in your family, a visit to Iron Horse Park is a must.

3. Chinook Winds Regional Park

This park has everything in one space – a spray park, a playground and a skatepark!

4. Check out one of Airdrie’s Indoor Playgrounds

Airdrie has an indoor playground inside the Genesis Place called Fun Place. Designed from kids of walking age to 12 years old. There is a soft play area for toddlers and a large play structure for kids 3 to 12. Additionally, both Sky Castle Family Fun Centre and Big Fun Play Centre are both nearby.

5. Go for a Swim

The pool at the Genesis Place is just as good as Calgary’s leisure centres and is usually less busy.

6. Airdrie Festival of Lights

In December, the Airdrie Festival of Lights is one of the best light displays around. It is actually more than just a light display and features activities, train rides, skating and more.

  1. Genesis Place, not Genesis Centre (important as there is a Genesis in both Airdrie and Calgary, don’t want to mix them up)

Hilo gas & grocery is “Hi Ho”

What’s Pop’n has rebranded to Over The Top Pop Shop
